The cost is $50, and online registration closes at 5 p.m. on Dec. 8 at https://tx.ag/D8FRVS. The event runs from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break as well as short breaks after each speaker.

The seminar will provide participants with the opportunity to receive up to eight Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units, CEUs. Three general, two integrated pest management, two laws and regulations, and one drift minimization are available.

The event is presented by the AgriLife Extension county offices of District 8 but is open to applicators statewide. Contact the AgriLife Extension office in Robertson County at 979-828-4270 with any questions.

Opportunity to obtain 2021 units

As 2021 draws to a close, the online event offers both private applicators and licensed commercial and noncommercial applicators an opportunity to obtain up to eight CEUs they may need to renew or recertify their license by the end of the year.

Licensed commercial and noncommercial applicators are required to recertify every year by obtaining five CEUs with one credit each from two of the following categories: laws and regulations, integrated pest management or drift minimization.

Licensed commercial and noncommercial applicators will obtain their required five units during the first five hours of the seminar.

Fifteen CEUs must be earned every five years for private applicator license holders to recertify their license; including at least two of laws and regulations and two of integrated pest management. Private applicators may use any combination of the categories along with general CEUs to achieve the required 15.
