We’re looking for a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant with previous veterinary experience, a strong work ethic, and a solid sense of humor (required, not optional). Pay is based on experience, and we take pride in taking care of our team just as well as we take care of our patients.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Able to learn or be able to perform basic assistant skills efficiently, accurately, and with little supervision, including (but not limited to)- nail trims, anal gland expression, vaccine administration, sub-Q fluids, and animal restraint
• Answering and handling calls in a professional manner
• Maintaining cleanliness
• Scheduling /Data entry
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging after training.
• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets
• Offering genuine client service at all times
• Having excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Having basic computer skills
• Maintaining a professional, courteous, and helpful attitude at all times
• Interacting with clients, explain treatments, procedures, medications, and disease processes
• Giving IM, IV, SubQ injections

Job Types: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 to $19.00 /hour

Experience:

• Veterinary: 2 years (REQUIRED)

Education:

• High school or equivalent
• Preferred CVA

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 38 per week
