Job Summary

Sealy Logistics, LLC is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Owner Operator to service a dedicated sand hauling route using a Matic Trailer. The Owner Operator will be responsible for the safe loading, transportation, and offloading of sand materials while maintaining full compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.

This position offers consistent freight on a dedicated route and requires a high level of professionalism, equipment care, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Safe Operation of Equipment
• Operate tractor and Matic trailer in a safe and professional manner.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local DOT regulations.
• Follow posted speed limits and adjust for road, weather, and traffic conditions.
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and hours-of-service compliance.
• Immediately report accidents, incidents, or violations.

2. Loading and Offloading Operations
• Properly load sand into Matic trailer according to customer and safety specifications.
• Safely offload sand at designated delivery locations.
• Monitor weight limits to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
• Secure loads properly to prevent spillage or equipment damage.
• Coordinate with site personnel during loading and unloading procedures.

3. Equipment Inspection & Maintenance
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Ensure Matic trailer systems are functioning properly.
• Report on mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain equipment in clean and professional condition.
• Schedule and complete required maintenance for tractor (Owner Operator responsibility).

4. Documentation & Communication
• Complete and submit all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain bills of lading and delivery confirmations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations.
• Provide updates regarding route progress, delays, or mechanical issues.

5. Customer Service & Professional Conduct
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct at customer sites.
• Follow all facility safety protocols.
• Always Represent Sealy Logistics in a professional manner.

Qualifications
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Minimum [X] years verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Experience hauling bulk materials preferred.
• Experience operating or willingness to learn Matic trailer systems.
• Clean driving record.
• Must meet all DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Equipment Requirements
• Owner must provide a DOT-compliant tractor.
• Tractor must meet Sealy Logistics’ safety and inspection standards.
• Must be capable of hauling sand loads within legal weight limits.

Skills & Competencies
• Strong safety awareness.
• Ability to operate pneumatic/bulk trailer systems.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Time management and route planning skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-motivated and dependable.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to climb ladders and access trailer systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to secure hoses and operate unloading systems.

Compensation & Work Schedule

Company and Contractor agree to a revenue split as follows:
• Company shall receive Sixty-Five Percent (65%) of Net Revenue from each completed load.
• Contractor shall retain Thirty-Five Percent (35%) of Net Revenue, after fuel.
