The Sealy City Council met Tuesday Night (June 9, 2015) to discuss the proposed Frontage Road project that will be on the north side of I-10 between Highway 36 and Rexville Road.  The item was number sixteen on the agenda and was in the form of a resolution stating:

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEALY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONSTRUCTION FUNDING AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN SAID CITY AND TOWN PARKS CENTER, LLC AND ALLEGIANCE BANK TEXAS, RELATED TO THE RECONSTRUCTION OF RAMPS AND THE ADDITION OF FRONTAGE ROADS ON INTERSTATE 10 FROM REXVILLE ROAD TO THE BNSF RAILROAD.

Several people spoke in favor of the proposal with one exchange between the city attorney, the council and Mike Webber occupying the majority of the discussion.  The resolution was ultimately tabled so the city attorney could renegotiate some clarification between the city and the entities who are a party to the project.

****UPDATE****  The Sealy City Council voted unanimously to approve the agreement at Thursday nights city council meeting (June 18, 2015).
