The Faith Academy Knights made a strong showing at the District/Regional Track Meet held Friday, April 11, at New Braunfels Christian Academy. With 20 TAPPS 1A teams competing, the Knights showcased talent, determination, and personal bests across the board.

Leading the charge and punching their tickets to the TAPPS State Meet are four standout athletes:

  • Elizabeth Walker (Senior) soared to 1st place in Pole Vault with a height of 10-0 and clinched 3rd in Triple Jump with a mark of 31-08.
  • Daniela Skardenni (Junior) dominated the distance events, earning 1st in the 3200m with a personal record of 14:11, and also placed 5th in the 1600m with another PR of 6:26.
  • Ethan Stegent (Junior) showed endurance and grit, capturing 3rd in the 1600m at 4:49, and finishing 4th in the 3200m with a personal best of 10:31.
  • Jackson Dunn (Junior) impressed in the hurdles and jumps, earning 2nd in the 110 Hurdles with a time of 16.63 and placing 3rd in Triple Jump at 39′ 8″. He also took 6th in Long Jump with a leap of 19′ 1¾”.

Also representing the Knights were:

  • Jocelyn Eckermann (Junior), competing in the 400m
  • Hayley Gillen (Junior), running the 400m and 200m
  • Anthony Best (Freshman), throwing in Shot Put and Discus

 

 

With strong performances and several top-six finishes, Faith Academy now sets its sights on the upcoming “Qualifiers Meet” at Houston Christian on Thursday, April 24, which will serve as final prep before the TAPPS State Meet, scheduled for May 2–3 at Panther Stadium in Midway.
