Faith Academy was well represented at the TAPPS 1A  2017 South Regional track meet at Heroes Stadium in San Antonio, April 29th.

Freshmen Pierce Newcomb and Roy Shepherd faced a field of experienced runners in the 100 meter dash.  Both young men ran well and are looking forward to competing next year.

Sophomore Brody Schiller competed in the 200 meter dash and ran well in large group of 200 meter runners.

Sophomore Cameron Crawford competed in both the shot put and the discus, placing 5th in the discus. 

Sophomore Brianna Gallagher competed in three events, the 3200 meter run, the 800 meter dash and the 1600 meter run and qualified for state in all three. Brianna competed after being ill with a virus the three days preceding the meet.

Junior Destiny Interiano competed in the discus, placing 4th and qualifying for state. 

Senior Julia Catlett placed 1st in the high jump qualifying for state for the fourth year.

Senior Olivia Catlett placed 1st in the triple jump with a personal best of 34′ 10″, she placed 1st in the 400 meter dash and  4th in the 200 meter dash. She advances to state in all three events. Olivia is track athlete of the week.
