On Thursday, January 16, the Faith Academy Lady Knights welcomed Robert Beren Academy Stars. This was the first district meeting between the two schools and it was a nail biter until the very end. The Stars were up 11-6 after the first quarter. The Lady Knights trimmed the Stars lead and were down 13-16 at halftime. Faith Academy continued to fight their way back and tied the game in the 3rd quarter, 21-21. As time was running down in the 4th quarter and trailing by 3 points, the Lady Knights pulled within 1 point of the Stars, 25-26. With less than 1 minute left, Faith Academy took the lead 27-26 and with good defense, they were able to deny the Stars. Faith Academy Lady Knights would end the game with the win 27-26. Addie Kuespert led the scoring with 13 points and pulled down 15 rebounds. Joselyn Bretado and Chesney Johnston contributed 4 points each and Genesis Mignery, Rachel Kuespert, and Gabby Yates added 2 points each.
