Blinn College head baseball coach Dusty Hart will soon add one of junior college baseballโs highest honors to his already impressive resume after being selected for induction into the NJCAA Hall of Fame.
Hart, who has spent more than two decades as a head coach at the NJCAA level, has built a career record of 806-341 while leading programs at Blinn and Grayson College. His accomplishments include two JUCO World Series national championships, including Blinnโs first-ever national title in 2024.
The induction ceremony is scheduled for Friday, May 22, 2026, during the pre-tournament banquet ahead of the 2026 JUCO World Series in Grand Junction.
Hart is considered one of the winningest active coaches in junior college baseball and has guided teams to five JUCO World Series appearances. Blinn is currently riding a three-year streak of appearances under his leadership.
Since taking over the Buccaneers program ahead of the 2023 season, Hart has posted a 141-47 record while leading Blinn to three Region 14 South regular-season championships, three Region 14 South Regional Tournament titles, and three Region 14 Super Regional/Mid-South District championships.
During Blinnโs 2024 national championship season, Hart earned Region 14 Coach of the Year honors before also being named JUCO World Series Coach of the Tournament and the 2024 NJCAA DI ABCA/ATEC National Coach of the Year.
Hart also previously captured a national championship at Grayson College in 2008. That season, he was recognized as NJCAA National Coach of the Year, American Baseball Coaches Association Junior College Coach of the Year, Diamond Baseball Coach of the Year, and JUCO World Series Coach of the Tournament.
Over the course of his coaching career, Hart has also earned seven Region V North Coach of the Year honors and two Southwest District Coach of the Year awards.
Before entering coaching, Hart played two seasons at Grayson before finishing his collegiate baseball career at University of TexasโPan American, now known as University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
Hart now joins an elite group of coaches within the Blinn athletic department who have earned NJCAA Hall of Fame recognition.
Blinn College has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and has captured 53 national championships since 1987.
