The Austin County Sheriff’s Office announced today that D & L Farms of Cat Spring, Texas, donated a large trailer to the department. Dan and Linda White, along with their daughter Elizabeth, provided the trailer to strengthen law enforcement operations and expand public safety resources across Austin County.
The Sheriff’s Office will use the trailer to support crime scene operations and law enforcement callouts, provide a dedicated command and operational space for hostage negotiators, and offer deputies and first responders much-needed shelter from the Texas heat during extended responses. The department will also deploy the trailer at community outreach events to improve public engagement and visibility.
Whether responding to a major crash, securing a large scene, supporting a search operation, or setting up for a community event, the trailer will give deputies a reliable, centralized space to coordinate operations, regroup, and maintain communication. The trailer strengthens emergency response efforts while also enhancing the department’s ability to connect with the public in meaningful ways.
“This donation represents far more than a piece of equipment,” said Sheriff Jack W. Brandes. “It reflects a true investment in public safety, officer wellness, and community trust. The generosity shown by the White family and D & L Farms will benefit Austin County for many years.”
Sheriff Brandes said the trailer will strengthen countywide response efforts by improving coordination, efficiency, and on-scene support for deputies working demanding situations.
“We are incredibly grateful for community partners who step forward in this way,” Brandes said. “This trailer will help our deputies better serve and protect the citizens of Austin County—whether at a crime scene, a critical incident, or a community event.”
The Austin County Sheriff’s Office thanked Dan, Linda, and Elizabeth White of D & L Farms for their generosity and continued commitment to the safety and well-being of Austin County.
