The Faith Academy Track Team had an outstanding season.  Both Josh Stoddard and Abby Froehlich sustained injuries during the year and were unable to finish the season.  Regionals were held April 30th in Bastrop.  Olivia Catlett (Alleyton) placed 2nd in the triple jump and 200 and won the 400.  Catlett won her only event, the high jump. Kelli Haynes (Bellville) won both of her events, the 3200 and the 1600.  Jake Ewing (Hempstead) placed 2nd in the long jump and 3rd in the 100.  All four of the athletes advanced to State in all of their events.

The TAPPS’ State meet was May 8th and 9th in Waco at Baylor’s outstanding new track and field facility.  Coach Ann Howarth’s team posted big results.  Twin sisters Olivia and Julia Catlett are now the reigning State Champions in the 400 and high jump, respectively.  Olivia also placed 2nd in the triple jump.  Haynes placed 3rd in the 3200 and 2nd in the 1600.  Ewing took 4th in the long jump and 6th in the 100.
