The City of Sealy was granted an order by the 155th District Court Judge for Austin County to reschedule the City of Sealy Special Election that was supposed to take place August 26, 2017 due to Hurricane Harvey. The new election date will be September 9, 2017. This will give everyone a chance to participate in the local election.
