The Sealy City Council approved to have the new backup generator be purchased for the Sealy Police Station at the June 23 council meeting.  The cost was estimated in the “$120’ish” range according to the new Sealy Police Chief.  Although 3 bid packets were sent to three different companies only one returned an actual bid on the generator so this was the company the council went with.  Once ordered the generator will take about eight weeks to be shipped to the city facility and about one day to install it.  All necessary utility hookups are already present for the generator and all that will be necessary is the master plumber to come hook up the gas and electrician for the electrical part.  The council voted unanimously to purchase the generator.
