The Blinn College women’s soccer team shutout Northeast Texas Community College, 5-0, at Rankin Field Tuesday. 

The Blinn College men’s basketball team defeated Coastal Bend College, 75-66, in the first round of the Region XIV Tournament in the John Alexander Gymnasium on Tuesday night.      

The Blinn College baseball team dropped a nine-inning game to Galveston College, 6-3, at Leroy Dreyer Field Tuesday night. 

Blinn College outside hitter Jayde Shelton (San Diego) was named Region XIV Volleyball Player of the Year, Loren Scott (Tallahassee, Fla.) was named Region XIV Setter of the Year, and head coach Terry Gamble was named the Coach of the Year after leading the seventh-ranked Buccaneers to the conference championship.

The Blinn College football team fell to Cisco College, 49-14, in the Buccaneers’ home opener at Cub Stadium Saturday.
