The Buccaneers earned the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) victory to finish the regular season with a 7-1 record and in first place in the South Group. 

Competing for Blinn were sophomore Austin Ray and freshmen Hayden WhitakerShawn FoxAdam Laamoumi, and Khanh Dewey.  

“Tonight’s performance was dominant, and the team got to have some fun leading up to playoffs,” Blinn head coach Aaron Kapiko said. “We look forward to the playoffs starting next week and we hope to make a deep run there.” 

The NECC Champions Division Playoffs begin Monday, Nov. 14. The Buccaneers will have a first-round bye in the 56-team tournament. Seedings and a complete bracket are expected to be revealed in the coming days. 

The Blinn Valorant team will also compete in the Red Bull Campus Clutch USA National Final Playoffs beginning Saturday, Nov. 19, in Arlington, Texas. A full bracket for tournament has yet to be announced. 

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 42 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
