The Blinn College men’s and women’s cross country teams have been recognized for academic excellence by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The Buccaneer women were named one of 36 2025 NJCAA Women’s Cross Country USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams. To qualify, a team needed to earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or better. Blinn finished with a 3.27.

Seven Buccaneer women landed on the USTFCCCA All-Academic list. Sophomores , Juliana JeansonneSophie Pyle and Clare White were joined by freshmen Brooke BerrymanBelicia Delk, and Chloe Ross.

Four Blinn men earned individual USTFACCA All-Academic honors. 

Sophomore Eric Lagat was recognized alongside freshmen Ryan FernandezAlan Guerrero and Cole Janecek.

The academic recognition further highlights a second successful season for Blinn cross country.

Under the direction of head coach Jesse Parker – who helped relaunch the program in 2024 – the Buccaneer men and women won the program’s first Region 14 crowns last fall and followed that with a return to the NJCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championship. 

Both the men’s and women’s teams bested their 2024 finishes, placing 10th and 13th, respectively. 

Additionally, Parker was tabbed the USTFCCCA’s NJCAA Division I Cross Country Atlantic Region Men’s and Women’s Coach of the Year, and White and freshman Matthew Binkley were named the Atlantic Region’s Female and Male Athlete of the Year.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 53 national championships since 1987.
