The 18th-ranked Blinn men also competed in the tournament and placed 11th out of 15 team.

Leading the way for the Buccaneer women was sophomore Holly Paterson, who finished 11th overall at 13-over par. Natalie Peebles, finished 14-over par and in a four-way tie for 12th. A total of 35 players competed in the women’s division.

Jocelyn Nevarez and Krista Vasquez tied for 19th.

Overall, the Buccaneers were 101-over par. Odessa College placed first at 14-over. Six teams competed in the tournament.x

The Blinn men finished the tournament 42-over.

The Bucs’ top finish went to sophomore Cameron Hubbard, who finished 5-over and in a three-way deadlock for 25th place.

Blinn returns to play Monday, Sept. 26 for the two-day Jacksonville College Fall Invitational at Cherokee Ranch Golf Club in Jacksonville, Texas. The Buccaneer men and women will compete in the tournament, with a warmup round set for Sunday, Sept. 25.

Blinn returns to the court for a region road matchup against Panola College on Thursday, Sept. 22, in Carthage, Texas. 

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 42 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
