Brown, a 5-foot, 6-inch Houston product, was a key cog in the Buccaneers’ historic campaign. She led the team with 13.6 points, 4.6 assists, and 27.5 minutes per game while shooting a team-high 42.2% from the floor.

“Telisha had a great season,” head coach Jeff Jenkins said. “She led a very good team in scoring and assists, and I know her teammates are very proud of her.”

The Buccaneers finished the season with a 28-5 record and a 14-4 mark in Region XIV. Blinn won its first regular-season region title after sharing the top spot with Trinity Valley, and entered the Region XIV Tournament as the No. 1 seed before capturing the tournament championship. The Buccaneers qualified for the NJCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship tournament as the seventh seed before bowing out in the second round. 

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 42 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
