LSU-Eunice won the opener 7-1 and clinched the sweep with a 9-7 win.
“We have to focus on the next game and show some fight and compete,” Blinn head coach Rick Church said.
In the opener of the twin bill, LSU-Eunice grabbed a 6-0 lead before Buccaneer sophomore Acie Prince smacked a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Blinn freshman Chloee Mason tossed a complete game for the Bucs and suffered the loss.
Blinn finished with four hits.

The bats came to life for the Bucs in the nightcap, as Blinn climbed out of a 4-2 hole with a five-run sixth inning. Sophomore Teagan Whitley‘s RBI single tied the game 4-4 before freshman Maddie Stephenson drew a bases loaded walk to give Blinn a 5-4 edge. Sophomore Keely Castillo then smacked a two-run single to make it 7-4.
The Bengals rallied for five runs in the top of the seventh.
Blinn pitchers Kailey Eldridge and Kaitlyn Sadler shared time on the mound. Eldridge was the pitcher of record for the Bucs.
Blinn finished with nine hits, including two apiece for Castillo and Prince, who both doubled.
The Buccaneers dropped to 3-14 overall.
Blinn hosts Navarro for a 2 p.m. doubleheader Saturday, March 5, at Hohlt Park.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 42 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
