The Blinn College women’s soccer team fell 1-0 to Jacksonville College in a Region XIV matchup Wednesday in Jacksonville, Texas.

The Buccaneers are now 3-2 overall and 2-2 in region play.

The lone goal of the match came in the 40th minute of play. 

Freshman goalkeeper Sydney Gibbs recorded one save for the Bucs.

Blinn finished with a 4-2 shot advantage over the Jaguars.

The Bucs get back to work with a region matchup against No. 2 Tyler Junior College at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, in Tyler, Texas.

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 42 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
