Blinn College’s Overwatch esports team remained unbeaten Monday with a win over Keiser University-Pembroke Pines.

The team of Caleb Sheffield (Austin), Ayden Rodriguez (College Station), Andrew Magourik (Bryan), Carter Haber (Aledo, Texas), Juan Cantu (Cedar Hill, Texas), and Jacob Barnes (Bryan) won 3-0, giving up only one point across three maps.

In the Overwatch video game, teams defend or attack points on a map, or escort a payload across a map while another team tries to stop them.

Blinn, now 5-0 on the season, plays Kaiser University-Sarasota on Thursday.

The Rocket League team has matches tonight against the University of Missouri and Southwest Minnesota State University. Blinn’s Valorant team plays Wednesday against East Central University, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate takes on the University of Texas at Dallas on Friday.

Blinn is one of only a few community colleges in the region offering esports scholarships, and competes in the National Association of College Esports against two-year colleges and four-year universities.
