The Texas State Solo-Ensemble Contest (TSSEC), organized by the University Interscholastic League (UIL), highlights the top high school musicians in Texas. To qualify, students must first compete in UIL Music Region Solo and Ensemble Contests, where they can perform either as soloists or as part of an ensemble. Ensemble performances involve small groups, such as duets or quartets, that focus on teamwork and precision. UIL-approved judges evaluate each performance based on tone quality, technical accuracy, musical expression, and overall presentation. Only students who receive a Division One (Superior) rating advance to TSSEC.

Congratulations to these talented musicians on this outstanding achievement! They will proudly represent Bellville High School at the Texas State Solo-Ensemble Contest in Austin.
