Austin County families took advantage of getting an A+ jump on health at this year’s “Back to School Health Fair” which was sponsored by Texas Children’s Health Plan of Texas Children’s Hospital, Department of State Health Services and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Austin County.  On the day of the event, 401 people came through the doors of the Sealy High School.  More than 250 clear backpacks with school supplies were given to families with students registered in Austin County schools and Met Head Start.  Most importantly, families were provided with the opportunity to visit with a host of health-related services at no cost in preparation for school.  Last but not least, sincere thanks to the Sealy Independent School District and the many volunteers and vendors who were essential in making this event such a true success.
