Austin County Sheriff’s Department Gets 3 New Vehicles

The Austin County Sheriff’s Office received three Ford Police Pursuit Vehicles on November 4, 2014 which will be placed on the street for patrol deputies to drive. These three new vehicles are 2015 year models, all wheel drive, complete with all needed police equipment.  They were purchased under the Texas Association of Counties Buy Board State Contract with a total cost of $121,300.00. These vehicles were purchased using funds forfeited by drug dealers (forfeiture funds), with no cost whatsoever to Austin County Taxpayers.
