Austin County Regional Special Response Team Executes Arrest & Search Warrants in Brookshire, Texas

On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at approximately 5:00 AM, the Austin County Regional Special Response Team executed arrest and search warrants on a residence located in the 4000 Blk of Second Street in Brookshire, Texas. This operation was conducted as a part of an ongoing narcotics investigation by the Westside (HIDTA) Narcotics Task Force.

Task Force Officers had been investigating reports of narcotics being distributed from the residence, leading to the arrest of defendants Jonte Grant (47) and Andre Grant (49) without incident. Cocaine, firearms, and United States currency were seized from the residence during the operation.

Charges of Manufacture and/or Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 (Drug Free Zone) were filed against all defendants. Additionally, defendant Andre Grant was charged with felon in possession of a firearm and theft of a firearm. The defendants were booked into the Waller County Jail without incident.

The Westside Narcotics Task Force covers four counties and includes investigators from the Austin County Sheriff’s Office, Bellville PD, Sealy PD, Hempstead PD, Waller County Sheriff’s Office, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Colorado County Sheriff’s Office, and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration.
