The Austin County Extension Education Association members recently attended the District 11 Training and Planning Meeting at the Victoria County 4-H Activity Center.  The representatives from Austin County were Jessie Kokemor, Knellen Quinteros, Gaye Farr, Gladys Frank and Karen Landrum.  Carrol Davig, District 11 director, conducted the meeting and training.  Training was conducted for chairmen, vice chairmen, secretaries and treasurers.  Also the manual for county chairmen was updated.  “Coins for Friendship” were collected to help the 4-H Center in Brownwood and “Dollars for Scholars” were collected to help fund the scholarship for a District 11 4-H student attending college.

The spring conference will be Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in Victoria.  The 2017 TEEA conference will be Horseshoe Bay Resort with District 9 and 11 as co-hosts.  All members from these two districts will be asked to contribute to the country store.  District 11 is in charge of the Cultural Arts Contest.
