The Extension Education Association (EEA) of Austin County recently held its annual 2025 Cultural Arts Contest in February. This highly anticipated event, organized by the Cultural Arts Committee, celebrates the creativity and craftsmanship of its members. Co-chairs Barney Zimmerman of the Bleiblerville EEA and Gaye Farr of the West End EEA led the event, with assistance from committee members Malinda Schramm, Claudia Cieslewicz, and Joan Buenger.
The Cultural Arts Contest provides a platform for members to showcase their artistic talents and skills across various categories. From intricate needlework to stunning photography, participants displayed their creativity through a diverse range of projects.
This year’s competition was amazing, and those who placed first or second in their respective categories have qualified for the District Competition, scheduled for Thursday, April 10th, in Victoria County. The following members will represent Austin County at the district level:
