nds in Non-native, Invasive Bluestems and Bermuda Grass” Sept. 7 from noon to 1 p.m.

The presentation will provide an overview of the history of non-native invasive grasses, identification, and three levels of management approaches for restoring native grasslands.

The webinar is part of the ongoing Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Department of Rangeland, Wildlife and Fisheries Management Stewardship Series.

The cost is $35, and advance registration is required at https://tx.ag/RWFMStewardshipWebinars.

The guest speaker will be Stacy Hines, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension rangeland habitat management specialist and assistant professor in the Department of Rangeland, Wildlife and Fisheries Management.

“Dr. Hines has been a certified environmental educator for over 20 years, has experience with habitat management while working with state agencies, and has taught plant identification courses, both face-to-face and online, for three and half years,” said Morgan Treadwell, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension range specialist, San Angelo.

Treadwell is a series co-creator, along with Brittany Chesser, AgriLife Extension aquatic vegetation program specialist, Bryan-College Station.

Hines will cover the history associated with non-natives and invasive grass species.

“The information this webinar offers is fundamental for any landowner looking to prioritize plant diversity and native species in dominant bluestem and Bermuda grass sites,” Treadwell said.

Hines will also cover:
