Blinn earned a 2-0 victory over Fisher College in a best-of-five series.
Competing for the Bucs were Hayden Whitaker, Austin Ray, Adam Laamoumi, Teague Morgan, and Bruce Nguyen.
“This was a huge win that took a lot of hard work from the team, and every person had to show up,” Blinn head coach Aaron Kapiko said. “We took down Fisher, who was a top-three team all year. Taking down a team of that caliber shows just how good we are.”
The Bucs will now take on Northwood University with a berth in the championship match in Los Angeles on the line.
“This victory puts us up against our toughest opponent to date in Northwood University,” Kapiko added. “With a spot in Los Angeles on the line, I know we will not be holding back and will look to come away with a strong win against another tough opponent. I’m very proud of the team today, but we are back to work Sunday against a very tough opponent.”
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 43 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
