e Buccaneers finished their season 20-31 overall and 13-11 in Region XIV South.
Blinn ended the regular season with a 15-9 mark to make a push for the fourth and final playoff berth in the South zone.
“We finished the season by putting some games together to put ourselves in a position to go to regionals and have a shot,” Blinn head coach Rick Church said. “Going 0-2 in the region tournament is disappointing and disappointing for a Blinn softball program, but we competed.”
The Buccaneers managed just one hit on the day.
Mason tossed six innings in which she allowed four earned runs on six hits with five strikeouts and a pair of walks.
“Credit goes to Chloee Mason for pitching extremely well in both of our games,” Church added. “Our entire team fought; we just ran into a tough pitcher in the end and couldn’t break out.”
Paris scored once in the bottom of the first and once more in the third before pulling away with a three-run sixth inning.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 42 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
