Description
Join Western International Gas & Cylinders in Bellville as a Production Technician responsible for safely handling customers’ cylinders according to standard operating procedures. Training is provided to help you understand the position and department responsibilities.
What you'll do
- Identify hazards associated with various gases and understand cylinder sizes and contents.
- Inspect cylinders and handle them safely in accordance with standard operating procedures.
What you'll bring
- High school diploma or GED and 0–1 years of work experience.
- Strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and ability to read and comprehend English.
- Ability to read, write, perform mathematical exercises, and work with people with different personalities.
- Ability to work independently under some pressure to meet deadlines, including extended shifts and/or weekends.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment, roll or lift 75-pound cylinders, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry 50 pounds, frequently push with 200 pounds of force, and rarely pull with 200 pounds.
Pay: $24.00 per hour
