If there are two names that instantly say “Texas,” they’re probably Texas A&M University and Buc-ee’s. Now, for the first time, the two iconic brands have teamed up to create official co-branded merchandise that is sure to catch the attention of Aggies, Buc-ee’s fans and collectors alike.

The inaugural collection officially launched Tuesday, Aug. 4, featuring a maroon T-shirt that combines the Texas A&M logo with Buc-ee’s famous beaver mascot. It’s the first time the university and the beloved Texas travel center have shared branding on the same product.

The shirts are available exclusively at 20 Buc-ee’s locations across Texas and at the Barnes & Noble campus bookstore on Texas A&M’s main campus in College Station.

The collaboration celebrates the long-standing connection between the university and Buc-ee’s founder, Arch “Beaver” Aplin III, a member of Texas A&M’s Class of 1980. Aplin opened the first Buc-ee’s convenience store in Lake Jackson in 1982, just two years after graduating from Texas A&M. Since then, the company has grown into one of the state’s most recognizable brands, known for its oversized travel centers, spotless restrooms and loyal following.

The partnership is also a glimpse into the future of Texas A&M’s new Aplin Center, an academic facility currently under construction in the heart of campus. Supported in part by a $60 million gift from Aplin, the center is expected to provide students with hands-on learning opportunities in hospitality, retail, food innovation, merchandising, marketing and entrepreneurship.

Earlier this year, Texas A&M became the first university to offer official Buc-ee’s merchandise on campus, introducing more than 45 Buc-ee’s products in campus retail locations. The new co-branded apparel expands that relationship and marks another milestone between the university and the Texas-born company.

Texas A&M has also hinted that additional co-branded merchandise is already in the works. Future releases are expected to coincide with the university’s upcoming 150th anniversary celebration, giving Aggies and Buc-ee’s enthusiasts even more opportunities to show off their Texas pride.

The inaugural T-shirt is available at the Barnes & Noble bookstore on the Texas A&M campus and at the following Buc-ee’s locations across Texas:

  • Bastrop
  • Baytown
