Position: Junior High ELAR Teacher In planning for the 2026-2027 school year, Faith Academy is searching for a Junior High ELAR teacher who will be responsible for providing engaging, Christ-centered instruction to students in grades 6-8. The teacher will cultivate a classroom environment that promotes academic excellence, spiritual growth, critical thinking, and strong character development. The ideal candidate demonstrates a passion for teaching middle school students, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to partnering with parents and school leadership in the discipleship and education of students. Primary Responsibilities ● Teach ELAR courses for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. ● Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with school curriculum and educational standards. ● Teach reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, composition, literature analysis, writing mechanics, and public speaking skills. ● Differentiate instruction to meet varying academic needs of students. ● Utilize a variety of instructional methods, technology tools, and assessments to enhance student learning. ● Foster strong written and verbal communication skills in students. Spiritual Leadership ● Continue to seek and maintain a personal relationship with Jesus. ● Encourage, nurture, and model godly character for peers, parents, and students. ● Provide spiritual growth opportunities for staff and students through daily devotions, prayer and appropriate participation in weekly chapel services. ● Support, encourage and edify the school community. All other duties as assigned Education and Experience ● State Teaching Certification is preferred ● If no Teaching Certificate is held, applicant will be required to complete ACSI certification upon employment (offered through Faith Academy’s professional development program) ● Ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with established school policies and procedures, school mission and core values ● A Bachelor's Degree is required ● Experience teaching at the Middle School or High School level preferred
