The Blinn College women’s soccer team failed to cash in on a myriad of offensive opportunities and succumbed to Trinity Valley Community College 1-0 in a Region XIV matchup Friday at Rankin Field in Brenham, Texas.
The Buccaneers fell to 2-4 overall and 1-3 in region play.
“To out-shoot a team and not win the game is disappointing,” Blinn head coach Alexandria Jackson said. “Finishing opportunities and scoring goals has been a struggle for us all year. We will continue working on it with the eight games left.”

The Bucs finished with a 13-7 shot advantage over the Cardinals – including seven shots on goal – but were unable to push anything past Trinity Valley keeper Jamie Norega.
Blinn sophomore keeper Jordan Clark played well in goal for the Bucs, picking up two saves, but the Cardinals were able to sneak the game-winning goal past her outstretched hand in the 68th minute. Trinity Valley’s Jenny Ngankem netted a corner kick to the back side of the goal for the lead.
Blinn’s season continues with a region road tilt at Paris Junior College at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, in Paris, Texas.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 49 national championships since 1987.
