On June 2, 2015 at 11:05 AM, Austin County Sheriff’s Special Response Team and  Austin County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators along with the Wallis Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at 6538 Railroad Street, Wallis Texas.

            As a result of the search warrant, crack cocaine, Alprazolam ER, marijuana, crack pipes, digital weighing scale and other miscellaneous drug paraphernalia were found. Three persons were arrested and charged.

            Michael Steven Lagas, age 39, is charged with possession of a controlled substance PG1=>4 grams<200 grams, felony 2, tampering with or fabricating evidence, felony 3, possession of controlled substance PG3<28 grams, class A, with bonds at $100,000, $50,000, $20,000.

            Amanda Dille, age 33, is charged with possession of a controlled substance PGI=>4 grams<200 grams, felony 2,possession of controlled substance PG3<28 grams, class A, with bonds at $100,000 and $20,000.

            Kevin Linares, age 23, is charged with possession of a controlled substance PG1=>4 grams<200 grams, felony 2, possession of a controlled substance PG3<28 grams, class A, possession of marijuana<2 ounces, class B, with bonds at $100,000, $1,000 and $20,000.

             All three persons were transported to the Austin County Jail and booked in.

            All evidence was collected, seized and stored at the Austin County Sheriff’s Office evidence lockup.

            “This is a prime example of agencies working together to combat narcotics activity.  It also sends a strong message to any and all persons in Austin County that are using or selling illegal narcotics.” says Sheriff Jack Brandes.
