After a strong showing at their recent district competition, 27 student-athletes from Sealy High School have qualified for the regional track and field meet, set to take place April 18–19 at Bullard High School. The Tigers and Lady Tigers will be well-represented across a wide range of events, showcasing the team’s depth, determination, and talent.

The Lady Tigers turned in several standout performances.
Ryanne Meyer and Lila Meyer will compete in the high jump, while Avery Grigar earned spots in both the triple jump and long jump. In the discus ring, Brooke Baber and Mya Tumer secured regional spots. Pole vaulters Jolie Kainer and Jacie Kainer also qualified after strong efforts.
Addi Clark earned a place in the 800 meter run and joins teammates Jade Barton, Sammy Huerta, and Brooke Baber in the 1600 meter relay. Kara Kram will represent Sealy in the 100 meter hurdles.

 

 

On the boys’ side, the Tigers showed their competitive edge across the board.
Jasic Shalow and Noah Washington both qualified in the high jump, with Washington also advancing in the long jump. Beau Finley and Mason Dziadek will move on in discus, and Jett Lechler qualified in the pole vault.
Gavin Almaguer and Samuel Eschenburg each advanced in the 3200 meter and 1600 meter runs, while Aaron Munoz earned his spot in the 800 meter run.
Steven Schwartz will compete in both the 110 and 300 meter hurdles, and will also anchor the 1600 meter relay team along with Kallan Hendry, Aaron Munoz, and Ivan Cadenas.
Sealy’s relay teams had a strong showing: the 4×100 relay (Logan Newsome, Bryce Mack, Noah Washington, Davian Thomas) and 4×200 relay (Logan Newsome, Hudson Hauerland, Bryce Mack, Davian Thomas) both qualified.
Logan Newsome also secured a spot in the 200 meter dash, while Davian Thomas moves on in the 100 meter dash. Ivan Cadenas and Kallan Hendry will compete in the 400 meter run, and Beau Finley joins Schwartz in the 300 hurdles.

This strong showing by all 27 athletes, along with the support of their coaches and staff, reflects the hard work and dedication that defines Sealy athletics. Best of luck to everyone as they represent Sealy at the regional meet!
