It’s now down to two candidates, Carolyn Cerny Bilski and Leighton Schubert are running for the vacated Texas House District 13 position previously held by Lois W. Kolkhorst. ย They met at Tony’s February 5, 2015 for a question and answer forum. ย The back meeting room at Tony’s Family Restaurant was standing room only with several people even moving to the front to sit on the ground to hear the candidates. ย The event was hosted by the Austin County Republican Party in an effort to help people become familiar with the candidates so that they canย make a more informed decision at the polls. ย The questions ranged from fiscal responsibility to border security to personal views on matters concerning both Texas and our local area. ย Both candidates were given a chance to respond to these questions which were written on forms and submitted to the Master of Ceremonies Michael J Skrivanek. ย  The forum lasted roughly an hour and a half and Austin County News Online was there to record the event. ย You can watchย the video of the entire forum below:
