The Sealy ISD welcomed a new officer to help keep their campuses safe. Officer Jesse Alvarado was sworn in on September 8, 2022 in the morning at the district’s school board chambers.

Sealy Police & Fire Departments Take Part In Back-To-School Event
The Sealy Police Department as well as the Sealy Fire Department took part in the back-to-school event hosted by Creative Care Children’s School. The event was held at the Creative Care Children’s School located at 1214 US-90, Sealy, TX. The event gave the children a chance to see both the police units as well as the fire engine.
Sealy FFA Begins Preparations For Austin County Fair Showing
The Sealy FFA Chapter began instruction on showing and working with their animals. Pigs, goats, sheep and cattle were the lessons of the day. Instruction included handling, working, presentation and what the judges would be looking for. Best of luck to the Sealy FFA as they prepare for this year’s fair.
Sealy Library Reading Challenge Winners Collect Prize; Police or Fire Ride Along
The Virgil and Josephine Gordon Memorial Library reading contest winners collected on their prize. If the children read all summer they could earn the chance to ride along in either a Fire Truck or Police Car. The Sealy PD and the Sealy Fire helped fulfill that prize by making themselves available to the library and its winners.
