The Sealy Economic Development Corporation met on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 6pm at the W.E. Hill Community Center to discuss the business of the city. The following video is of that meeting.

The Sealy Police Department as well as the Sealy Fire Department took part in the back-to-school event hosted by Creative Care Children’s School. The event was held at the Creative Care Children’s School located at 1214 US-90, Sealy, TX. The event gave the children a chance to see both the police units as well as the fire engine.
The Sealy FFA Chapter began instruction on showing and working with their animals. Pigs, goats, sheep and cattle were the lessons of the day. Instruction included handling, working, presentation and what the judges would be looking for. Best of luck to the Sealy FFA as they prepare for this year’s fair.
The Virgil and Josephine Gordon Memorial Library reading contest winners collected on their prize. If the children read all summer they could earn the chance to ride along in either a Fire Truck or Police Car. The Sealy PD and the Sealy Fire helped fulfill that prize by making themselves available to the library and its winners.
