The Sealy Tigers girls varsity basketball team suffered a 58-47 loss against the Brookshire Royal Falcons in their away conference game on January 13th. Despite a closely contested first half, the Falcons pulled away in the second half to secure the win. The loss brings Sealy’s overall record to 16-12, with a win percentage of 0.57 and they are 4-1 in district play, standing 3rd in their district.

The Austin County Fair Association was well-represented at the Texas Association of Fairs & Events Convention and took home several awards for excellence in marketing and communications. The fair, which promotes the agricultural lifestyle and attracts around 24,000 visitors to the fairgrounds each year, will be held from October 6th to 15th in 2023. The Austin County Fair Association is a 501©3 non-profit organization.

The Sealy Tiger varsity soccer team secured a 4-1 victory against the Livingston Lions at the Huffman Hargrave tournament on Thursday. Sophomore Israel Santos led the way with three goals, while senior D’vonne Hmielewski and senior Tanner Ellis contributed with one goal and assists respectively. The team looks to continue their winning streak as they face off against the 1-4 Silsbee Tigers on Friday and East Chambers Buccaneers on Saturday.
