BRENHAM, Texas — Blinn College men’s basketball (19-6, 7-6) defeated the Houston Gladiators in the final non-conference game of the season, 128-109, Saturday in the Kruse Center.
“Everybody who suited up for the game tonight scored and I was happy for them,” said Scott Schumacher. “It was a fun game to play in today.”
Blinn’s offense was explosive as four Buccaneers scored double-digit points. Kai Tease led the Buccaneers with 27 points, JaQuan Morris scored 21, Jonathan Dorsett-Morris tallied 18 and Matt Adams added 13. Tristan Ikpe, Uriel Velis, Nic Tata and Shawn Cornelius all scored eight points each.
Blinn cruised to a 59-42 lead in the first half before posting 69 points in the second half for the win.
The Buccaneers will head on the road to face Angelina College on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m.
Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 38 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
