Description
The City of Sealy Police Department is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of a full-time Police Officer. This position is responsible for protecting and serving the citizens of Sealy by patrolling the City in an emergency patrol vehicle to protect life and property, preventing and discovering crimes, making arrests, solving community problems, performing preliminary or follow-up criminal investigations, maintaining community order and neighborhood tranquility, assuring safe traffic conditions and safe traffic flow by enforcing traffic laws and parking regulations and investigating traffic accidents, and enforcing local municipal ordinances, federal laws, and state laws. Candidates must possess current TCOLE license and basic certification. Starting pay is $30.05/hour ($62,504.00 annually) and certification pay available dependent upon peace officer certification level.
