Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitization, and order in various settings, including residential homes and commercial spaces. This role requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional service and ensuring a welcoming environment for all clients. The Housekeeper will work an 8-hour shift from Monday-Friday (9am-5pm) with rotating Saturdays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean and tidy all guest rooms, hallways, common areas, fitness center, and dining facilities
- Dust and polish various surfaces and furniture
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
- Empty trash bins
- Change linens and towels
- Pick up and deliver guests’ laundry and linens
- Immediately report any issues requiring maintenance
- Communicate with Housekeeping Manager to prioritize room “flips”/resets
- Audit rooms and common areas
- Notify Housekeeping Manager of room availability
- Report suspicious activity/items to Housekeeping Manager
Customer Service:
- Knock and announce Housekeeping presence prior to room entry; return at a later time if room is occupied
- Ability to demonstrate discretion and respect of guests’ privacy
- Communicate “special orders” pertaining to laundry services to laundry service attendant

- Continuous standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending over, twisting, pulling, and pushing
- Lifting up to 25 lbs. – any weight above this will require a second person to assist
- Exposure to industrial cleaning products
- Exposure to various noise levels
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must demonstrate ability to follow policies and procedures established in the Company’s Employee Handbook and contribute to a positive work environment by behaving and communicating harmoniously with co-workers and management.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Previous housekeeping or comparable experience in the hospitality industry
- Sufficient education and literacy are needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English

EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATIONS:
Working knowledge of general maintenance and cleaning equipment.
BENEFITS:
1 week of sick pay (available immediately).
