To direct, plan, manage, and review the activities and operation of the Finance Department; to
coordinate assigned activities with other City department divisions, and outside agencies; and to provide
highly responsible and complex administrative support to the City Administrator.
Under the general supervision of the City Administrator. Responsible for supervision of Building
Permits, Accounts Payable, Utility Billing Clerk, and Utility Clerk. Responsible for City Grants. Must have
sound judgment and be capable of scheduling and working independently. It is essential to be selfmotivated and have initiative to carry out job duties and responsibilities.

The City of Bellville offers an attractive benefits package that includes the following:

  • Fourteen (14) paid holidays per year
  • 96 Hours of Sick Leave per year on an accrual
  • Accrual of five (5) days for first year paid vacation, ten (10) days for the second year paid vacation, fifteen (15) days in the eighth year paid vacation
  • City's contribution for Health is 90% employee and 75% dependents with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas. 
  • Vision and Dental is voluntary
  • Participation in the Texas Municipal Retirement System; the employee will be vested after five years and will have their 5% annualized contribution matched on a 2:1 basis
