Join us in the living room as Hello Austin County welcomes back Marcia Bluitt, Faith Based Community Engagement Specialist with the Texas Department of Family Protective Services. Marsha explains Stand Sunday, a nationwide effort calling churches and individuals to support children and families in foster care. She shares the inspiring origins of Stand Sunday, how communities can get involved, and simple ways anyone can help. Learn how churches, civic groups, and individuals can participate through prayer, mentorship, respite care, supply drives, holiday support, and more. Marsha also highlights real examples of collaboration between churches, first responders, and foster families, helping children feel seen, valued, and supported. If you want to help but are unsure how, this interview offers practical ways to serve children and families right here in our community. Stand Sunday takes place every second Sunday in November, but the call to support children in care continues year round.
