A heartfelt thank you to our guests today, the dedicated volunteers of the Cat Springs Volunteer Fire Department.
Fire Chief Tim Lapham, Deputy Chief Shane Carter, Assistant Chief Bruce, Lieutenant Jacob Huddleston, and all the firefighters who joined us — thank you for your service, your training, your humor, and for keeping Austin County safe.
The Cat Springs Volunteer Fire Department is 100% volunteer. No tax dollars. Your support through their annual barbecue fundraiser pays for new equipment, truck upgrades, building expansions, and life-saving rescue tools.
This year they are raising funds to replace their 31-year-old rescue truck, the first responder vehicle for wrecks and medical emergencies in areas where ambulances can take 15 to 20 minutes to arrive.

Saturday, April 18th at the Cat Spring Hall
Great barbecue (beef, sausage, chicken), live auction, gun raffle, live music, dancing, and community fun, all to support the folks who run toward danger so we don’t have to.
Come hungry, bring the family, and help “Bring the Meat” to keep our volunteers equipped!
