“With haste and in confusion”; The Runaway Scrape

The Alamo has fallen! Santa Anna advances toward Washington! Take part in the flight of Texans from the advancing Mexican Army known as the Runaway Scrape. Learn about the emptying of the Town of Washington following the 1836 Convention and the scene at Robinson’s Ferry as Texans flee towards the Sabine and the protection of the United States. Help load an ox cart and carry common possessions that Texans were known to have taken with them during their plight.
