Granny’s Helping Hand is partnering with Veterans Stand Together to host a Resource Fair, “Vittles With Vets”. The event is scheduled for April 29th from 9am-1pm at the Sealy American Legion Hall located at 1630 Meyer Street in Sealy. The aim of the event is to provide access to resources for veterans in rural areas who may otherwise only be available in the greater Katy and Houston area. The event is free and open to all veterans and their families. Complimentary food and prizes will also be offered.

The Bellville, Texas Guns & Hoses Tournament’s recent 5k/10k race raised funds for CASA For Kids, drawing an impressive 167 registered runners despite unfavorable weather. Local runner Fransisco Martinez emerged as the overall winner in the 10k event, with an impressive time of 37:53 and an average pace of 6:07 per mile, and will participate in the Boston Marathon on April 17th.
