The Austin County Commissioners Court issued a burn ban notice to be in effect within the Austin County Area.  Commissioner Randy Reichardt stated that he had called several of the fire chiefs in the area and reported that the reason we have not had any real incidence of fires.  There have only been two fires and the Austin County Citizenry has been quite responsible with their burning.  It was the general consensus of the commissioners court that it is just too dangerous to have fires in such dry conditions within the county.
