The Austin County Emergency Services District No. 2 received a $10,000 grant from the BNSF Railway Foundation. The contribution is earmarked to go towards the Critical Radio Infrastructure Program to purchase radios that are needed.

Representatives from the Texas Attorney General’s office attended and spoke at Monday’s Commissioners Court Meeting. They asked for Austin County To consider joining with other counties and municipalities in the state as part of a multibillion-dollar legal opioid settlement. Austin County could be eligible for around $93,000 if they do.
