The Austin County Emergency Services District No. 2 received a $10,000 grant from the BNSF Railway Foundation. The contribution is earmarked to go towards the Critical Radio Infrastructure Program to purchase radios that are needed.

The San Felipe De Austin State Historic site is preparing to open their newest outdoor exhibit: Villa de Austin. The exhibit will present stories from San Felipe de Austin’s business district and will open on the weekend of November 13th and 14th with free admission.

They asked for Austin County To consider joining with other counties and municipalities in the state as part of a multibillion-dollar legal opioid settlement. Austin County could be eligible for around $93,000 if they do.
