Austin County Agri-Life Final Walk Across Texas Report

Walk Across Texas, has officially concluded with Bellville Independent School District.   What a wonderful eight weeks it has been for BISD students and their families!   At the end of the 8^th week, 66,465 miles were racked up by the students and their families.  On behalf of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Austin County, Texas A&M School for Rural Public Health and the Austin County Family and Consumer Sciences Advisory Committee, we would like to extend a hearty congratulation to each and every participant who participated in this year’s eight week walking program.

In an effort to recognize your hard work and dedication to the program, all students will be recognized at a scheduled assembly which will be arranged by the physical education teacher at each school.

Without further ado, this year’s ending results are as follows:  O’Bryant Primary – 35,356 miles; O’Bryant Intermediate – 18,632 miles and West End Elementary –12,477 miles and

Kindergarten results are: Mrs. Pasqua – 1,933 miles; Mrs. Bettis – 1,693 miles; and Mrs. Dirba – 1,088 miles.  First grade results are: Mrs. Newman – 2015 miles; Mrs. Frietag -1,531 miles; and Mrs. Lueschner – 1,435 miles. Second grade results are:  Mrs.Malota– 2358 miles; Mrs. Ables  – 1,103 miles and Mrs. Peschel – 1,046 miles. Third grade results are: Mrs. Hackemack – 2,889 miles; Mrs. Springer – 2,681 miles; and Mrs. Grebe – 1,955 miles.  Fourth grade results are: Mrs. Yantis – 1,768 miles; Mrs. Biehunko – 1,471 miles; and Mrs. Felicia Adams – 1,396 miles.  Fifth grade results are: Mrs. Lewis – 2,476 miles; Mrs. Schroeder – 2,097 miles; and Mrs. Krupala – 1,539 miles. On West End’s campus, the results are: Mrs. Armand – 2,960 miles; Mrs.Houston – 1,728 miles; and Mrs. Peck – 1,357 miles
