Walk Across Texas,ย has officially concluded with Bellville Independent School District.ย ย  What a wonderful eight weeks it has been for BISD students and their families!ย ย  At the end of the 8th week, 66,465 miles were racked up by the students and their families.ย  On behalf of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Austin County, Texas A&M School for Rural Public Health and the Austin County Family and Consumer Sciences Advisory Committee, we would like to extend a hearty congratulation to each and every participant who participated in this yearโ€™s eight week walking program.

In an effort to recognize your hard work and dedication to the program, all students will be recognized at a scheduled assembly which will be arranged by the physical education teacher at each school.

Without further ado, this yearโ€™s ending results are as follows:ย  O’Bryant Primary โ€“ 35,356 miles; Oโ€™Bryant Intermediate โ€“ 18,632 miles and West End Elementary โ€“12,477 miles and

Kindergarten results are: Mrs. Pasqua โ€“ 1,933 miles; Mrs. Bettis – 1,693 miles; and Mrs. Dirba โ€“ 1,088 miles.ย  First grade results are: Mrs. Newman โ€“ 2015 miles; Mrs. Frietag -1,531 miles; and Mrs. Lueschner โ€“ 1,435 miles. Second grade results are:ย  Mrs.Malotaโ€“ 2358 miles; Mrs. Ablesย  โ€“ 1,103 miles and Mrs. Peschel โ€“ 1,046 miles. Third grade results are: Mrs. Hackemack โ€“ 2,889 miles; Mrs. Springer โ€“ 2,681 miles; and Mrs. Grebe โ€“ 1,955 miles.ย  Fourth grade results are: Mrs. Yantis โ€“ 1,768 miles; Mrs. Biehunko โ€“ 1,471 miles; and Mrs. Felicia Adams โ€“ 1,396 miles.ย  Fifth grade results are: Mrs. Lewis โ€“ 2,476 miles; Mrs. Schroeder โ€“ 2,097 miles; and Mrs. Krupala โ€“ 1,539 miles. On West Endโ€™s campus, the results are: Mrs. Armand โ€“ 2,960 miles; Mrs.Houston โ€“ 1,728 miles; and Mrs. Peck โ€“ 1,357 miles
